การประเมินคุณค่าทางโภชนะและคาร์โบไฮเดรตในรูปน้ำตาลที่ละลายได้ของเศษเหลือจากสับปะรด Thai Agricultural

The objective of this study was to determine nutritive value and sugar soluble carbohydrate ofpineapple residue. Six treatments were (1) fresh pineapple peel, (2) composted pineapple peel, (3) grind composted pineapple peel, (4) pineapple pulpmeal, (5) pineapple leaf, and (6) pineapple crown. The experiment was conducted in completely randomized design. The results were shown that structural carbohydrate was higher in pineapple peel than pineapple pulp, crown and leaf. Fat content was highest in pineapple leaf. Soluble sugar carbohydrate was higher in pineapple leaf and pulp. In conclusion, pineapple leaf and pulp have potential of being roughage source for dairy and beef cattle.

การประเมินศักยภาพผลผลิตของพันธุ์อ้อยอาหารสัตว์ Thai Agricultural

Eight improved clones of forage-cane were evaluated for biomass yield performance under irrigatedcondition at Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen campus, Nakhon Pathom during 2011-2012. The study wasdesigned with randomized complete blocks design with 4 replications in 3 crop-cycles, newly planted, first-ratoon and second ratoon that harvested at 6, 4 and 4 month after planting/ratooning, respectively. Total fresh biomass yield from 3 crop-cycles was 40.47 ton/rai. The total yield of 3 crop-cycles varied between 27.44 and 46.46 ton/rai. High biomass yield obtained from the new clones 28-2113, 28-2114 and 28-1727 that were equal to 46.46, 44.86 and 42.96 ton/rai, respectively. Objective of this study was to estimate methane production in Thai native cattle fed dried Ruzi grass or rice straw based diets. Twelve Thai native bull (body weight 342.25±30.46 kg.) were used in this experiment. Dietary treatments were applied in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) consisted of ad libitum mixed 70%of concentrate with 30% of dried Ruzi grass based diet (T1), ad libitum 70% of concentrate with 30% of rice straw based diet (T2) and 70% of concentrate with 30% of rice straw based diet stair step feeding (T3). Two experiments were conducted to determine the utilization of pineapple waste as roughage sourcein goats. In experiment 1, eight Thai Native×Anglo-Nubian 50% crossbred male goats, 2 years old, with averagebody weight (BW) of 37±2.33 kg, were used in 4×4 replicate Latin square design. The goat was offered 4 sources of roughage:plicatulum hay (T1), pineapple waste (T2), plicatulum hay and pineapple waste at the ratio of 1:10 w/w (T3) and plicatulum hay and pineapple waste at the ratio of 1:20 w/w (T4). การใช้โซเดียมไฮดรอกไซด์ปรับปรุงคุณภาพชานอ้อย เพื่อเป็นอาหารในโคนมรุ่น Thai Agricultural

The objective of this study was to determine effect of using treated sugarcane bagasse as roughage source of TMR on the utilization of nutrients and performance of dairy heifers. Twelve crossbred 98% HF blood heifers (175±20 kg.BW) was assigned to randomized completed block design (RCBD) The treatments were following as different NaOH level of treated sugarcane bagasse 0, 2, 4 and 6% and all of TMR was formulated to similar TDN and CP (65% and 12.5%). The results showed that the heifers fed treated sugarcane bagasse quality with 4% NaOH had better DMI, DMIBW and FCR than others, especially, the highest ADG in 4% (P<0.01). It is therefore can be concluded that the optimal level of NaOH to enhance treated sugarcane bagasse was 4% would improve growth rate...

Objective of this study was to investigate performance of Thai Native beef cattle fed Ruzi grass or rice straw base diet. Twelve steers with age of 3 years and initial weight 318 ±29.6 kg were fed mixed 70% of concentrate with 30% of roughage (Ruzi straw or rice straw) as the dietary treatment in a randomize complete block design (RCBD) as follow; T1) Ruzi grass fed base diet, ad libitum, T2) rice straw fed base diet, ad libitum and T3) rice straw fed base diet, stair step feeding.
